According to the program, the group gathers at the airport in Elizovo on the first day of the tour. A representative of Polus-M meets the group with a 'POLUS' plate. After that - accommodation in a hotel in Petropavlovsk.
              The Ksudach volcano caldera is situated 160 kilometers southwards off Petropavlovsk. There are no roadways near the place and no populated localities along the route, which helps the area remain in its pristine conditions. Wonderful Khodutka thermal springs and Ksudach caldera, just as well as the Valley of Geysers, belong to the most attractive nature sites for tourists. Volcanic lakes in Ksudach caldera, fanciful landscape bring an impression of irreality and amaze. Khodutka springs are quite special among other springs in Kamchatka. A real full hot river flows through a birch forest. This is where the trekking part of the tour starts. The main features of the place are the numerous thermal and mineral springs, rich nature and volcanoes surrounding. An easy accent of the crater of Mutnovsky volcano, one of the most active in Kamchatka, allows to watch volcanic activity. Fantastic visions stay long in the memory. Wild pathways, mountain rivers, high grasses make the way more difficult. One should be in a pretty good shape and insistent enough to make it through all the hardships.
              The next-to-last day of the program is a reserved day in case the group stays on the route for a longer time, which may happen.

Day 1: Arrival at Kamchatka. Transfer to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Hotel accommodation, DBL, BB. Acclimatization. Night excurtion around Petropavlovsk.

Day 2: Helicopter flight to the caldera of Ksudach volcano and to Khodutka thermal springs. Breakfast in the hotel. Bus to the heliport. Ksudach volcano is situated 150 kilometers southwards off Petropavlovsk. During the flight fly round Mutnovsky, Gorely and Khodutka volcanoes. Landing in the caldera of Ksudach. Excursion to the Shtubel's crater. 'Hot Beach' of Kluchevoye lake. 'Steaming Cliff" and 'Steaming Ridge'. Lunch. Flight to Khodutka thermal springs. Khodutka thermal springs are one of the most remarkable in Kamchatka. They are sited under the northern slope of Priyomish volcano - a close neighbor of Khadutka volcano. Put up base camp. Rest. Bathing in the springs. Supper. Overnight in tents - 4 persons each.

Day 3: Free day. Rest at the springs. Overnight in tents - 4 persons each.

Day 4: Trekking to Asacha river. On the way the group crosses Pravaya Khodutka river and ascends a low mountain pass, which is the water-parting ridge between Pravaya Khodutka and Asacha rivers. The way is not difficult. There are many berry fields around where sometimes one can see brown bears. Overnight in tents - 4 persons each. Day trekking distance - 17 kilometers.

Day 5: Crossing Zveriny mountain pass. . The route goes through mountain tundra by the foot of Zhyoltaya mountain, fighting through pine and alder shrub. No drinking water on this part of the route, it only appears by the end of the day's way. This is why the group carries with them some limited amount of drinking water. Camping at the first stream by the foot of Zhyoltaya mountain. Overnight in tents - 4 persons each. Day trekking distance - 24 kilometers.

Day 6: Trekking to Verkhne-Opalskiye thermal springs. Part of the route runs through shrub down to Levaya Opala river. Verkhne-Opalskiye springs are sited 300 meters off the bank of the river in a birch forest. There are also a few pools at the bank of a warm stream that makes the place perfect for resting. Overnight in tents - 4 persons each. Day trekking distance - 18 kilometers.

Day 7: Trekking to Vysokaya mountain. Part of the route runs along an old road. On the way the group crosses numerous mountain streams. Camping on mountain tundra. Overnight in tents - 4 persons each. Day trekking distance - 20 kilometers.

Day 8: Trekking to Mutnovsky volcano. The way runs through mountain tundra by the foot of Asacha volcano and leads to the caldera of Gorely volcano. Put up base camp at Opasny canyon at about 1000 meters' elevation under the western slope of Mutnovsky volcano. Overnight in tents - 4 persons each. Day trekking distance - 18 kilometers.

Day 9: Ascent to the crater of Mutnovsky volcano (2323 meters). Breakfast. Start out at 9 a.m. from the base camp. Elevation changes (base camp - highest point of the route) - 1000 meters. Look over the crater and the active volcanic bowl. Volcanic glacier. Multicolored volcanic rocks. Mutnovsky volcano really is one of the most active volcanoes of Kamchatka. In 2000 its activity increased and a few weaker "gas-and-ash" eruptions happened and a large volcanic lake was formed. Light meals in the crater. Back to the camp by 6 p.m. Supper. Overnight in tents - 4 persons each. Day trekking distance - 15 kilometers.

Day 10: By truck to Rodnikoviye thermal springs. Drive to Paratunka. Start out at 10 a.m. Through the mountain plateau to Viluchensky waterfall (1.5 hours, 30 kilometers). Stop for lunch at Rodnikoviye thermal springs. Light walk to Viluchensky waterfall and to Rodnikoviye thermal springs (2 kilometers, 30 minutes). Bathing in the springs. Lunch. Back to the truck. Transfer to Paratunka (50 kilometers, 2 hours). Hotel accommodation, DBL, HB by 7 p.m.

Day 11: Boat excursion around Avachinskaya bay. Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the sea-port. Boat excursion with fishing and a picnic onshore. The excursion starts at 10 a.m. The boat runs through the bay up to Tri Brata rocks ('The Three Brothers'). Fishing gear and bait are available on board. Species for fishing: flatfish, halibut, rock greenling. Then the boat goes to Babushkin Rock, people go shore in Tikhaya bay. Lunch, cooking 'Ukha' - Russian style fish soup. Return to the port by 4 p.m. Back to hotel, DBL, BB.

Day 12: Reserved day. This is a backup day - in case bad weather occurred on one of the previous days. Rest. The weather permits, a group helicopter excursion to the Valley of Geysers is available if ordered additionally and beforehand. Some other excursions are available as well (local studies museum, a trip to the Pacific coast, excursion around Petropavlovsk, fish market).

Day 13: Departure. Breakfast. Bus to the airport.

Tour price includes: transportation, meals in town (breakfasts) and out of town(three meals a day, fresh cooked), guides, cook,equipment for camping and field kitchen, rafting equipment, tents, hotel accommodation in Petropavlovsk and in Paratunka, excursions (except for the helicopter excursion to the Valley of Geysers).
Not included: lunch and supper while in hotel in Petropavlovsk and lunch while in hotel in Paratunka, additional excursions.

Weight of your backpack: you will only need your backpack during ascents and rafting. We recommend to have a backpack with a capacity of about 70 liters. For ascent you need to have on you only a warm coat and a flask of water, and the rest of the things are left in the base camp.
Weather: air temperature: day-time - +12+25°C, night-time - +5+15°C. During the ascent it may drop down to 0°C. Wind and rain are possible as well.
Items recommended to have: a backpack, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, runners, , boots (or rubber boots with firm soles) , windproof clothes , training suit, sweater, pants, coat with a hood, raincoat , spare socks, hat or cap, gloves, swimming items, personal hygienic items and first aid kit, matches or lighter, flashlight, sunglasses, mosquito repellent, sunscreen cream, extra little backpack or a bag (up to 30 liters capacity).
